San Jose – October 18, 2026 -- Linktel Technologies says its 1.6T Linear Pluggable Optics (LPO) 2DR4 module runs at power consumption as low as 10W. The company presented the module to data center architects at the 2026 OCP Global Summit as a way to ease power and cooling loads in AI networks.
Linktel's DSP-free 1.6T LPO design targets latency and component bottlenecks
The linear optics architecture cuts signal processing delays, which Linktel describes as critical for high-performance AI scale-out fabrics. Eliminating the optical DSP also removes component choke points, according to the company, supporting scalability for mass deployments.
Linktel reported multi-switch platform interoperability at the early September 2026 1.6T LPO-MSA Plugfest. It describes that result as a foundation for the 200G-per-wavelength ecosystem.
Linktel's live 1.6T demos drew data center architects, with volume production in place
The company ran live demonstrations of its 1.6T LPO, LRO and FRO modules throughout the summit. Linktel states that volume production is already under way, but it disclosed no shipment volumes, customer names or order values.
Linktel's 12.8T liquid-cooled XPO demo targets high-density AI nodes
Linktel showed a live thermal demonstration of a 12.8T XPO module with liquid cooling. As a founding member of the XPO MSA, it is scaling the XPO series with FRO, LRO and LPO variants for scale-up, scale-out and scale-across frameworks.
Linktel displays 6.4T/7.2T NPO modules with covers removed
The open modules exposed internal designs supporting both ELS and ILS configurations. Linktel says the NPO line combines compact density with low power and low latency, and it cites an established 6.4T/7.2T roadmap.
Linktel's Dr. Grace Zhang outlines dispersion-managed optics for OCS SuperPOD architectures
Engineer Director Dr. Grace Zhang led an Executive Session titled "Dispersion Managed Transceiver for Next-Gen AI Fabrics." She detailed cost-effective 800G (20km) and 1.6T (10km) solutions for OCS SuperPOD architectures. She also covered the feasibility of 400G per lambda over 3km.
Linktel's DMD product line is already in volume production. The company is seeking ecosystem partners for collaborative development and says it is open to sharing its U.S.-filed patents to speed industry adoption.
