Innoviz Says Most AUSA 2026 Leads Target Counter-Drone Uses

TEL AVIV – October 29, 2026 -- Innoviz Technologies (NASDAQ: INVZ) says the majority of new sales opportunities from the AUSA Annual Meeting and Exposition relate to counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS), three months after it launched its Perciz defense brand.

The company met CTOs and senior leaders of leading defense companies, system integrators and dozens of prospective customers at AUSA, held October 12-14, 2026, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. Innoviz is now following up on a significant number of opportunities identified at the show.

Detection is solved; precise positioning is the gap, Innoviz heard

Small, inexpensive drones, including first-person-view (FPV) models, were among the most discussed threats at the exposition. Innoviz says existing sensors can alert operators to a drone but often cannot fix its position precisely enough to engage it quickly and cost-effectively.

Fiber-optic controlled drones emit no radio signal, which limits RF-based detection and jamming. Prospects asked Innoviz for two capabilities: high-resolution 3D sensing that delivers a drone's real-time position, and perception software for tracking and positive identification.

Perciz pitches centimeter-level 3D positioning for layered C-UAS

Perciz applies Innoviz's automotive-grade LiDAR, selected by BMW, Volkswagen, Mobileye and Daimler Truck, to defense and homeland security. The company claims centimeter-level 3D positioning that could give interceptors and effectors a precise coordinate instead of a circle of uncertainty.

As an active optical sensor, LiDAR does not depend on whether a drone is RF-controlled, autonomous or fiber-optic guided, according to Innoviz. It says high-resolution point clouds help separate drones from clutter such as fences, vegetation and structures. It also claims precise localization supports lower-cost interception methods, narrowing the gap between drone cost and the cost of systems used to defeat them.

CEO Omer Keilaf said, "defense organizations can detect drones, but they need to know exactly where they are."

Innoviz builds on first multimillion-dollar defense orders from July

Perciz launched in July 2026, alongside Innoviz's first multimillion-dollar orders from a defense customer. Those orders cover counter-drone systems and perimeter intrusion detection. The company also reports collaborations with several defense and C-UAS providers.

Jeremie Kletzkine, Vice President of Business Development, said interest from U.S. integrators and prime contractors came from technology leaders at some of the most important players in the C-UAS space. He said the focus now is converting those conversations into evaluations and long-term collaborations with U.S. customers and partners.

Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Yoav Har-Even, Innoviz Board Chairman and former President and CEO of Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, helped introduce the company to senior defense industry leaders at the event.

Innoviz cites procurement cycles, budgetary constraints, regulatory and export control considerations, and the early stage of its defense and security business as risks. Its next scheduled U.S. appearance is C-UAS Technology USA in Washington, D.C., on November 30-December 2.
