SAN FRANCISCO – – October 28, 2026 -- Infisical has raised $40 million in Series B funding at a $600 million valuation to expand its security infrastructure for AI agents. Elad Gil, who also invested in the company's Series A, led the round. Gradient and Y Combinator are among the other investors.
Agent Vault keeps credentials away from AI agents
Infisical's Agent Vault lets companies give AI agents access to systems without handing over credentials. AI agents need access to source code, databases and cloud infrastructure, which normally requires API keys, passwords and authentication tokens. Infisical argues agents cannot be trusted with those credentials.
Companies define the access each agent needs. According to Infisical, the agent then cannot leak credentials in a cyberattack or inadvertently send them to LLM providers or other tools it communicates with.
CEO and co-founder Vlad Matsiiako compared the approach to human access controls: "You wouldn't give an employee unrestricted access to every system in your company, and AI agents shouldn't be any different."
Infisical secures 10 billion secrets a day for 1,300 customers
The company serves more than 1,300 customers and 300,000 developers, and secures 10 billion secrets every day. Its open-source project has earned more than 30,000 GitHub stars.
Named customers include Airbus, Volkswagen, Hugging Face, OpenRouter, Lucid, First American Financial Corporation, Wise and Clay.
Beyond agent access, Infisical's platform covers secrets, certificates, encryption keys and privileged access management. It also keeps digital certificates renewed and trusted.
Funding targets product development and team expansion
Infisical will use the proceeds to accelerate product development and expand its engineering and go-to-market teams. It will also build out security infrastructure for AI agents as enterprise adoption increases.
Gil described AI agents as a new class of users inside every enterprise. He said securing their access will be among the biggest cybersecurity challenges of the next decade. He credited co-founders Matsiiako, Maidul and Tony with recognizing early that agents would create a new set of security challenges, and said he believes Infisical can become essential infrastructure for the AI era.
