Hyatt Adds 123-Suite Impression Isla Mujeres to Unbound Collection

CHICAGO – November 07, 2026 -- Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) has added Impression Isla Mujeres, a 123-suite, adults-only, all-inclusive resort on the southern tip of Isla Mujeres, Mexico, to The Unbound Collection by Hyatt. The addition comes as the collection marks its 10th anniversary in 2026.

Resort keeps adults-only, all-inclusive model under Hyatt's Endless Privileges

Impression Isla Mujeres will continue to operate as an adults-only, all-inclusive property. Guests will receive Endless Privileges, one of Hyatt's signature sets of luxury inclusions, available at select all-inclusive resorts.

The resort opened in May 2023 under the Impression by Secrets brand. It received the AAA Five Diamond designation in 2026 and was named to AAA's 2026 Top 10 Hotels list. Luxury Travel Advisor named it the "Most Instagrammable Hotel in the World" in 2024 and 2025.

Seven restaurants and five bars anchor the 123-suite property's food and beverage offer

The resort offers Italian, pan-Asian, Mexican and Mediterranean menus, plus grilled dishes, across seven restaurants. It also has five bars and lounges and lists 17 wine labels. Every suite has a private terrace and personalized butler service. Recent wellness upgrades include yoga hammocks, wellness cabanas and TRX equipment.

Tamara Lohan, Hyatt's Global Brand Leader for Luxury, said the property reflects the individuality the collection seeks. General Manager Mourad Essafi said the Unbound affiliation recognizes the resort's individual character and will introduce it to more travelers.

Mexican artists and architect shape the resort's local identity

Contributors include Mexican artist César López Negrete, architect Javier Uma and marine life artist Wyland. The resort's setting is naturally sheltered and seldom affected by sargassum, which keeps its beaches usable year-round.

Resort directs part of room revenue to shark conservation

Since opening in 2023, the resort has dedicated a portion of room revenue to the nonprofit Saving Our Sharks Foundation. It has also hosted guest snorkeling and shark-tagging excursions. The partnership supports local fishing communities and alternative livelihoods for fishers moving away from shark fishing.

Unbound Collection expands across five countries, with Argentina next

Established in 2016, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt is a curated portfolio of independent hotels and resorts. Recent additions include THE BARAI HUA HIN in Thailand, Hôtel Palais de la Méditerranée in Nice, The Georgian in Santa Monica, Hotel 1000 in Seattle and The Clayfield in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. Casa Duhau in Mendoza, Argentina, is expected to join in late 2027.
