Providence – October 13, 2026 -- Highbar Physical Therapy has formally introduced three acquired practices as "Highbar Practices," creating a four-brand network that serves patients at 57 locations in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Three regional brands join Highbar's network under their existing names
The newly introduced practices are Joint Ventures Physical Therapy in Greater Boston, Peak Physical Therapy in the Greater South Shore, and Physical Therapy U in Southeastern Massachusetts and the South Coast. Highbar Physical Therapy itself operates in Rhode Island and in Southeastern and Central Massachusetts.
Peak joined Highbar in 2024. Joint Ventures Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy U followed in 2025.
Highbar keeps local signage and brand colors after ownership changes
Each practice retains its name, colors and local reputation. Highbar says it affiliates only with practices that share its culture, and that it integrated each one on a people-first rather than brand-first basis. The purpose, mission, vision and standard of care are the same at every location.

Clinicians at all four practices gain access to a shared career pathway
Clinicians at Peak, Joint Ventures Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy U have access to mentorship, continuing education and residency programs. The shared pathway runs from clinician to faculty member or clinic director to regional leader across the Highbar Practices.
Highbar CEO Michelle Collie said integration is about people rather than logos, and that the offer to clinicians is a teaching practice that invests in their growth.
