GAC Overseas Sales Jump 138.9% to 197,000 Units Through September

Guangzhou – October 17, 2026 -- GAC sold more than 197,000 vehicles overseas in January-September 2026, up 138.9% year on year, and is targeting 300,000 overseas units for the full year. The automaker disclosed the figures as it exhibited at the 140th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair), which opened on 15 October in Guangzhou.

GAC overseas sales have more than doubled since 2024

Overseas volume stood at 90,000 units in 2024 and reached 130,000 units in 2025. The nine-month 2026 total already exceeds the full-year 2025 figure. Reaching the annual goal requires fewer than 103,000 additional units in the final quarter.

GAC describes the shift as a move from product export to system-level global expansion. It plans to advance its ONE GAC 2.0 strategy, deepening localized operations and widening its global footprint.

GAC puts three models and charging technology on show at its 30th Canton Fair

GAC debuted at the fair in 2012 and has now taken part 30 times. At its booth, the XT80, AION i60 and AISTALAND GX7 demonstrated intelligent driving, three-electric systems and premium cabins.

An energy-ecology zone displayed DC ultra-fast charging piles, 7 kW smart home chargers, multi-in-one electric drive units and PV-Storage-Charging-Swapping Technology. GAC positioned the range of equipment as an answer to range anxiety.
