Florida MSSP Sold to Multi-State Buyer in Viking-Led Deal

Tampa, Fla. – October 06, 2026 -- A Florida-based managed IT and cybersecurity services provider serving small and mid-sized businesses has been acquired by a strategic buyer with a multi-state footprint, in a transaction brokered by Viking Mergers & Acquisitions.

Deal closes after six-month process amid rising buyer demand for IT firms

The transaction took approximately six months from engagement to close, a timeline Viking attributes to growing buyer interest in IT solutions companies within the lower-middle market. The Viking Florida Division team representing the seller included Larry "Tripp" Lawson III (Partner), Jacob Middleton (Associate Partner), and Dylan Bradley (Associate Advisor).

Seller built 15-year track record moving from MSP to full MSSP

Over more than 15 years, the acquired company evolved from a traditional Managed Services Provider into a full Managed Security Services Provider. Its client base includes non-profit organizations, law firms, and family-owned medical practices that depend on responsive, security-focused IT support. Much of the firm's growth came through referrals and long-term client relationships, maintained by an in-house team handling day-to-day service delivery.

Buyer expands multi-state platform into nonprofit, financial, healthcare verticals

The acquiring company is an established managed IT services provider already operating across multiple states and serving nonprofit, financial, and healthcare clients. Viking said the shared sector focus and a mutual commitment to preserving acquired companies' operational legacy created the strategic fit behind the deal, positioning the combined business for continued growth in Florida and nationally.

"Delivering outcomes like this for business owners is what drives our Florida team," said Larry Lawson II, President of Viking's Florida Division. "Tripp, Jacob, and Dylan guided every step of this process and brought together a seller and buyer well-positioned for long-term success."

Tripp Lawson said the advisory team ran a disciplined sale process that kept multiple qualified buyers engaged, giving the seller real options through to close.
