San Jose – October 12, 2026 -- Flex (NASDAQ: FLEX) has introduced prefabricated AI Modules that integrate power, compute and liquid cooling, and it says they cut AI factory deployment timelines by up to 50% compared with traditional construction.
The modules are part of Flex's Cloud and Power Infrastructure (CPI) segment. Flex plans to separate that segment into Axiom Solutions International, Inc. (Axiom), an independent publicly traded company, in the first quarter of calendar 2027.
Axiom AI Modules combine three factory-built systems
The pre-engineered modules include an 800 VDC power rack for power conversion and distribution, advanced cooling distribution units (CDUs) for liquid cooling, and high-density IT racks. The IT racks integrate AI servers, networking and high-speed interconnects.
Factory assembly runs in parallel with site development
Flex moves infrastructure integration from the data center site into a controlled factory environment. The modules are assembled, integrated and tested while the site is being developed, which reduces on-site complexity.
Chris Butler, expected Chief Technology and Strategy Officer at Axiom, said meeting AI infrastructure demand requires "rethinking how power, compute and cooling work together as a system."
Flex builds for hyperscalers on 3 million square feet of U.S. capacity
Flex is building prefabricated modular solutions for hyperscalers. Its footprint includes more than three million square feet of dedicated data center infrastructure manufacturing capacity in the U.S.
Spin-off filings are under way
Flex filed a proxy statement on Schedule 14A with the SEC on October 5, 2026, seeking shareholder approval of spin-off-related proposals. Axiom has filed a Form 10 registration statement covering its common stock.
