First Mining Gold Added to VanEck Junior Gold Miners GDXJ Index

Vancouver – September 17, 2026 -- First Mining Gold Corp. (TSX: FF; OTCQX: FFMGF; FRANKFURT: FMG) will join the MVIS Global Junior Gold Miners Index (MVGDXJ), the benchmark tracked by the VanEck Junior Gold Miners ETF (GDXJ), effective at the close of trading on September 18, 2026.

Index inclusion follows semi-annual GDXJ rebalancing

The addition comes through the MVGDXJ's scheduled semi-annual review, placing First Mining among the most liquid small-cap gold and silver mining, development and exploration companies tracked globally. The MVGDXJ is a modified market-cap-weighted index restricted to companies generating at least 50% of revenue from gold or silver, or holding at least 50% of mineral resources in those metals.

CEO cites liquidity and capital markets exposure as key benefits

Dan Wilton, CEO of First Mining, said the GDXJ listing is expected to broaden the company's visibility among institutional and retail investors, improve trading liquidity, and expand access to global capital markets as it advances gold projects in Ontario and Quebec.

Company advances two major Canadian gold projects

First Mining is developing the Springpole Gold Project in northwestern Ontario, where the federal Environmental Assessment was approved in June 2026, and the Duparquet Gold Project in Quebec, a PEA-stage asset located on the Destor-Porcupine Fault Zone in the Abitibi region. The company also holds a 20% project interest in the Pickle Crow Gold Project in Ontario and a large equity stake in Seva Mining Corp.
