Show draws landscape and equipment buyers despite rising fuel prices and interest rates
OPEI President and CEO Kris Kiser said attendees came despite rising fuel prices, higher interest rates and other pressures. He said that when times are tough, "Equip is the place to be to talk to others who are going through the same things." The audience included landscapers, designers, tree care and irrigation professionals, and outdoor power equipment manufacturers and dealers.
Trade Show Executive magazine ranked Equip the third largest trade show in the U.S. for 2025.
Organizers expand Tree Care Arena and add four education tracks
The Tree Care Arena grew this year. New educational offerings covered snow and ice management, irrigation, outdoor lighting and women's leadership. The Outdoor Demo Yard spanned 30 acres, where landscape professionals and contractors tested the latest outdoor power equipment.

The 2027 show runs October 19-22 in Louisville. The Kentucky Exposition Center (KEC) will open 300,000 square feet of new exhibit space ahead of that edition. Equip returns to Louisville in 2028.
KEC improvements over the next two years, including an anticipated new West Wing in 2029, will give Equip more than 500,000 square feet of additional exhibit space. The show has sold out months before opening day for the last five years.
Equip moves to a rotation with Orlando in 2029
In 2029, Equip begins a biannual rotation to Orlando, Florida, and will return to Louisville every other year. Kiser said OPEI is soliciting feedback from attendees and exhibitors as the show heads toward the 2029 rotation and beyond.
