Dusseldorf – October 28, 2026 -- Deutsche Glasfaser scored 963 of 1,000 possible points in the 2026 fixed-network test by telecom magazine connect, the highest total of any national or regional provider tested in Germany.
Fourth regional title since 2022 for Deutsche Glasfaser
The result is the company's fourth regional win in the connect test, after 2022, 2024 and 2025. Deutsche Glasfaser says its rating improved on the prior year based on the base points awarded.
The network scored strongly in coverage and upload data rate. Reliability received the top grade of "outstanding" ("überragend"), the third time the company has earned that rating.
connect analyzed 3.1 million lines over 24 weeks
The test is a crowdsourced analysis of measurement data collected at end devices on internet connections. This year's evaluation drew on 1,039 million measurements from 3,108,073 internet lines. The analysis ran for 24 weeks, from mid-April to the end of September 2026.
Deutsche Glasfaser is classed as a regional provider because it operates no active network in Germany's three city-states.
CHIP named the operator best regional provider for a fifth straight year
In May 2026, technology magazine CHIP ranked Deutsche Glasfaser the best regional provider for the fifth consecutive time.
Chief Operating Officer Gerhard Mack said network quality determines whether people can work, learn and communicate without disruption, and described the result as confirmation of the company's infrastructure promise to customers and partners.
