Indianapolis – September 13, 2026 -- Corteva (NYSE: CTVA) and Belgium-based Globachem N.V. have signed a definitive agreement to launch a 50/50 joint venture aimed at developing and delivering new crop protection solutions for farmers in Europe and the Americas, with the deal expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Joint venture will pool late-stage pipeline technology from both parent companies

The independently operated JV will draw on late-pipeline to commercial-stage technology from Corteva and Globachem to develop, register and market new products. Resulting solutions may be commercialized independently by one or both parent companies once ready.

New products targeted for launch in the early 2030s

The venture builds on an existing multi-year partnership between the two companies. New solutions are expected to reach the market in the early 2030s through established commercial channels.

Corteva frames deal as portfolio expansion ahead of planned separation

Corteva Senior Vice President Brook Cunningham said the JV strengthens the company's portfolio as it prepares to launch as a standalone crop protection company. He said combining Corteva's pipeline and innovation capabilities with Globachem's formulation expertise would accelerate delivery of tailored solutions for core crops in targeted markets.

Globachem calls the agreement a milestone in its long-standing relationship with Corteva

Koen Quaghebeur, Chief Visionary Officer and Co-founder of Globachem, described the venture as combining Corteva's discovery and development capabilities with Globachem's product development, formulation and regulatory execution expertise. He said the goal is to accelerate delivery of differentiated crop protection solutions addressing evolving agronomic challenges for growers.

Deal remains subject to regulatory clearance

The transaction requires all necessary regulatory clearances and approvals before it can close.
