Copper Intelligence Confirms Mineralization in All 13 Drill Holes at Butembo, DRC

New York – September 11, 2026 -- Copper Intelligence Inc. (CUAI) reported that all 13 diamond drill holes completed at its Butembo Copper Project in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo intersected copper mineralization, with the strongest interval returning 7.55 metres at 5.39% Cu from surface in hole BCDD001.

Maiden drilling defines a schist-hosted copper system open along strike and at depth

The maiden diamond drilling program, comprising 13 principal holes plus one deep extension hole, established schists as the primary host lithology for copper mineralization at Butembo. Broad intervals included 29.1 metres at 1.28% Cu from 1.0 metre in BCDD006, 16.0 metres at 1.65% Cu from 23.0 metres in BCDD007, 12.5 metres at 1.78% Cu from 35.5 metres in BCDD011, and 11.1 metres at 2.75% Cu from 17.9 metres in BCDD013. A deep extension hole, BCWDD001B, returned 2.0 metres at 0.97% Cu from 113.65 metres, indicating mineralization persists at depth beyond current drill spacing.

Native cuprite in three drill holes points to strong copper enrichment

Native cuprite, a copper oxide mineral associated with intense enrichment processes, was identified in mineralized zones within holes BCDD001, BCDD006 and BCDD007. The company said it is evaluating whether the cuprite occurrences indicate zones of supergene enrichment that could upgrade near-surface resource potential.

Company draws comparison to Uganda's Kilembe mine, 65km along strike

Copper Intelligence noted the Butembo mineralization is hosted in a schist package comparable to that mined at the Kilembe Copper Mine in neighboring Uganda, which produced 420,000 tons of copper metal over its operating life.
