Orbis Flying Eye Hospital Debuts Simulation Training in Macau

Macau – September 08, 2026 -- Global eye care nonprofit Orbis International has launched its first-ever simulation-based training project in Macau, marking 20 years of local partnership that has raised more than US$33 million for the organization's work in China and worldwide.
Orbis brings 70 clinicians from eight Chinese hospitals for Flying Eye Hospital training
The project engages 70 ophthalmologists and nurses from eight Orbis partner hospitals across China, who will receive advanced training and mentorship aboard the Flying Eye Hospital aircraft and at Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau. Training covers simulated cataract, glaucoma, strabismus, medical retina, and nursing specialties. Orbis states these professionals collectively serve more than 245,000 patients annually in China.
