CoCo Opens in Hungary and Armenia, Readies Kyiv Debut

TAIPEI – October 29, 2026 -- CoCo Bubble Tea, a chain with more than 5,000 stores worldwide, has opened its first stores in Hungary and Armenia and plans to open a Kyiv location in late December, extending its franchise push into Central and Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus.

The three-market rollout comes ahead of the brand's 30th anniversary in 2027. CoCo plans at least three stores in each of the three markets over time.

Budapest and Yerevan stores opened on May 20 and July 15

The Budapest store at Dohány u. 28 opened May 20 with CoCo's European menu. It is available for delivery through Wolt. The launch used Hungarian-language content on Facebook and Instagram, plus limited merchandise for early customers.

The Yerevan store at 2 Hin Yerevantsi St. opened July 15 on the second floor. The local team uses Facebook and Instagram to introduce products and collect customer reviews. CoCo provides on-site operational support, and support in Armenia is delivered locally.

Kyiv plan centers on mall and kiosk formats with self-ordering

The Ukraine plan includes mall and kiosk formats with self-ordering capabilities. CoCo names Hungary and Ukraine as priority markets for Central and Eastern Europe. It describes Armenia as a base for exploring the South Caucasus and neighboring West Asian markets.

Hungary operations and the Ukraine preparations draw on CoCo's European warehouse and supply chain network, which supports ingredient supply and store operations across the region.

Menu mix adapts to local demand through franchise partners

CoCo works with local franchise partners to study competition and consumer preferences in each new market. The brand keeps its classic drinks and may add more fruit teas, refreshing flavors or coffee drinks depending on demand. Post-opening feedback can drive further menu and marketing changes.

The company points to rising interest in international food and beverage concepts among younger consumers. It cites Persistence Market Research, which estimates the European bubble tea market will grow from $727.2 million in 2026 to $1.26 billion by 2033.

CoCo seeks master franchise partners across three regions

CoCo is recruiting qualified master franchise partners and prioritizes established multi-unit retail and F&B operators with proven market experience. It is also exploring market development across Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and South Africa.
