Fairfax, Va. – September 10, 2026 -- CoAspire has appointed Brigadier General (Ret.) Jason L. Hawk as Executive Vice President, adding a former Pentagon capability-development chief who oversaw roughly $200 billion in Air Force RDT&E and procurement decisions across three programming cycles.
Hawk led Air Force Futures capability development before retiring in August 2025
Hawk retired from the U.S. Air Force in August 2025 after serving as Deputy Director, Capability Development, Air Force Futures, at Headquarters U.S. Air Force. In that post he directed capability development and Joint integration across next-generation airpower, weapons and sensors, autonomous systems and artificial intelligence, command and control, space and cyber, base defense, and mobility portfolios. His work touched modernization efforts for Next Generation Air Dominance, Collaborative Combat Aircraft, C3BM, and B-21.
Hawk previously managed a $11 billion Air National Guard operating budget
Before Air Force Futures, Hawk held senior leadership roles at the National Guard Bureau, including Deputy Director for Air, Intelligence and Cyber Operations. There he oversaw readiness, mobilization, and current operations for approximately 107,000 Airmen, 90 wings, and 1,200 aircraft, supported by an annual operating budget of roughly $11 billion.
Hawk logged more than 1,700 flight hours as a fighter and attack pilot
Hawk began his aviation career flying the AH-64 Apache in the U.S. Army before transitioning to the Air Force and the F-16 Fighting Falcon. A Command Pilot, instructor, and evaluator, he accumulated more than 1,700 flight hours in fighter and attack aircraft, flying operational missions supporting NATO, homeland defense, and U.S. Indo-Pacific Command requirements. He commanded at the squadron and group levels over a military career spanning nearly three decades.
