Clement Auto Group Enters Ohio via Mansfield Motor Group Acquisition

Irvine, Calif. – – September 15, 2026 -- Performance Brokerage Services has brokered the sale of Mansfield Motor Group, a three-rooftop Nissan, Honda and Volvo dealership group in Mansfield, Ohio, from Dirk Schulter and Brett Schulter to Penuel "Raj" Clement of Clement Auto Group.

Family-owned dealership group founded in 1947 changes hands after four generations

Mansfield Motor Group traces its roots to Whitey's Auto Mall, established by Frank "Whitey" Schluter and recognized as one of the early pioneers of the multi-franchise auto mall model. Brothers Dirk and Brett Schluter took ownership in 2001 and led the 79-year-old business until this sale.

Clement Auto Group makes first move into Ohio market

Founded in 2012 as a used-car operation in the Greater St. Louis area, Clement Auto Group expanded with Clement Ford in O'Fallon, Missouri in 2019, Clement Hyundai in Wentzville, Missouri in 2022, and Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram stores in Columbia, Illinois and Florissant, Missouri in 2024. The group ranked No. 6 on the St. Louis Business Journal's 2024 list of the region's largest auto dealers. The Mansfield acquisition marks its entry into Ohio.

Dealerships to be rebranded under Clement name at existing locations

The three stores will remain at their current sites and will be renamed Clement Honda, Clement Nissan and Clement Volvo Cars of Mansfield.
