Chicago – October 14, 2026 -- Bruce ATS has raised its share of reported overnight U.S. equities notional across the three leading alternative trading systems from 9.7% in Q1 2026 to over 20% in Q4 to date, and compliance and trade analytics provider S3 has now connected to its market data feed.
Bruce Markets, which operates the overnight venue, said the integration gives S3 clients a more comprehensive view of overnight U.S. equity prices and liquidity. Bruce Markets also said the feed helps clients prepare for potential regulatory expectations around off-hours trading.
Bruce ATS volume grew 144% in Q2 2026, outpacing the overnight market
According to the Bruce Q2 Overnight Market Review, activity across the three leading overnight ATSs reached 11.14 billion shares and $391.2 billion in notional value in Q2 2026. That was up 34% and 59% from Q1, respectively.
Bruce ATS grew faster. Executed volume rose 144% to 1.16 billion shares, and executed notional climbed 105% to $49.03 billion.
Bruce Markets ties venue visibility to execution quality evaluation
Bruce Markets CEO Jason Wallach said Bruce ATS now accounts for more than one-fifth of reported overnight notional across the three leading ATSs. He said that makes visibility into the venue increasingly important for evaluating execution quality. In his view, participants can only compare venues effectively when they can see where liquidity is available.
S3 Co-Founder and CEO Mark Davies said clients expect an accurate view of trading performance across the full trading day. Adding Bruce ATS data, he said, gives them a more complete picture of execution quality.
Bruce Markets plans first continuous weekend U.S. equities session
The integration follows Bruce Markets' recently announced plan to launch the first continuous weekend U.S. equities trading session, subject to regulatory review. The company cites rising demand for global 24/7 access to U.S. equities.
Bruce ATS currently runs overnight trading from 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM ET. S3's platform covers Global Best Ex and TCA for options and equities, as well as trade surveillance, SEC Rules 605 and 606 reporting, and Consolidated Audit Trail reporting.
