Valcourt, QC – September 08, 2026 -- BRP Inc. (TSX: DOO) (NASDAQ: DOO) will install Minh Thanh Tran as Chief Financial Officer effective October 1, 2026, succeeding Sébastien Martel, who is retiring after more than 20 years with the powersports manufacturer.
Martel exits after 12 years steering BRP's finances
Martel, who has served as CFO for 12 years, led the company's initial public offering on the Toronto Stock Exchange in 2013 -- named IPO of the Year -- and its subsequent NASDAQ listing in 2018. He will shift to a role as Executive Advisor to the CEO starting October 1, 2026, supporting a transition period before his full retirement in April 2027.
Tran brings ERP, M&A and Asia manufacturing track record
Tran joined BRP in 2017 and has since led implementation of a new North American ERP system, developed the company's M28 strategic plan, and helped establish BRP's manufacturing footprint in Asia. Before BRP, he worked in investment and corporate banking at Lazard and BMO Capital Markets, where he was involved in BRP's 2013 IPO.
CEO frames move as internal succession, not disruption
"Our thorough CFO transition to such a high-quality internal successor reflects the strength of our executive team and our commitment to further position the business for lasting success," said Denis Le Vot, President and CEO of BRP.
The company described the handover as part of a long-planned succession strategy, with Martel remaining available through April 2027 to support financial continuity during the changeover.
