Singapore – October 20, 2026 -- BRAC Bank, one of Bangladesh's leading private commercial banks, has gone live with Finastra's Trade Innovation and Corporate Channels and Conpend's Trade AI solutions, replacing fragmented trade finance processes with a single integrated digital platform.
The bank moved to modernize its trade finance operations as trade volumes grow and customer expectations change. Its aims are higher efficiency and a scalable base for future growth. The platform is designed to raise straight-through processing and improve visibility across the trade finance lifecycle.
Platform targets ISO 20022 and Swift SR2026 compliance
The deployment is meant to speed up the rollout of new services while supporting compliance with evolving industry standards, including ISO 20022 and Swift SR2026 requirements.
Corporate clients get a single channel for trade requests
Through Finastra's Corporate Channels, corporate customers can initiate requests, collaborate securely, approve transactions and track progress in real time. The bank says governance and oversight are maintained throughout.
Open architecture is built for higher transaction volumes
The platform runs on an open, scalable architecture that supports BRAC Bank's long-term digital transformation strategy. It leaves room to add capabilities, handle growing transaction volumes and adopt new technologies as business needs change.
Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, Managing Director and CEO of BRAC Bank, said the implementation supports the bank's ambition to become the most preferred trade bank in Bangladesh.
Andrew Bateman, EVP for Lending at Finastra, said the front-to-back trade finance capabilities give the bank a platform that increases operational efficiency and improves visibility across the trade lifecycle.
The go-live is the latest milestone in the relationship between BRAC Bank and Finastra.
