Berlin – September 11, 2026 -- BOE Technology opened its first overseas Innovation Partner Conference (IPC) in Berlin on September 7, 2026, running alongside the IFA 2026 electronics show, with more than 200 global display and IoT partners invited to attend.

The event, themed around innovation, globalization and collaboration, marked the first time BOE has hosted its Innovation Partner Conference outside China. The company built a technology showcase around a concept it calls "LIGHT" -- an acronym covering low power consumption, innovative technology, global service, high performance and superior quality -- to demonstrate scenario-based solutions tailored to the European market.
BOE executives frame the Berlin event as a step toward deeper co-development with international partners
Qi Zheng, BOE's chief strategy officer, said the company intends to deepen collaborative development work with its international partners, framing the IFA presence as rooted in innovation and joint commercial success. IFA CEO Leif Lindner welcomed BOE's move, noting the company chose Berlin -- where decision-makers and pioneers of the electronics industry converge -- to showcase its technology leadership.
BOE partners with Saint-Gobain Sekurit and Barco on variable-opacity roofs, MLED and IoT applications
At the showcase, BOE partnered with European firms including Saint-Gobain Sekurit, LEDCON, Barco and Vusion to present applications spanning variable-opacity sunroofs, MLED display technology, IoT integration and electronic paper. The exhibition organized its product lineup around three sub-themes -- "LIGHT for Future," "LIGHT for Life" and "LIGHT for Society" -- covering LCD, OLED and MLED display technologies alongside emerging areas such as sensors, photovoltaics and sustainability-focused innovations.
BOE channels roughly 7% of annual revenue into R&D and counts over 100 Fortune Global 500 clients
BOE has filed more than 100,000 patent applications and operates sales and service centers across 15 countries and regions. The company serves over 5,000 international corporate clients, including more than 100 companies on the Fortune Global 500 list. Approximately 50% of BOE's annual revenue is generated overseas, and its German subsidiary has supported more than 150 European clients to date.
