Tokyo – October 06, 2026 -- Astellas Pharma Inc. (TSE: 4503) will present 21 abstracts from its oncology portfolio at the European Society for Medical Oncology Congress 2026, running October 23-27 in Madrid, Spain.

Enfortumab vedotin combination shows longest follow-up data yet in urothelial cancer

Presentations on PADCEV (enfortumab vedotin) plus pembrolizumab include the longest follow-up reported to date for patients with locally advanced or metastatic urothelial cancer, alongside subgroup and treatment-setting analyses. Additional data cover trials in progress evaluating bladder preservation strategies in muscle-invasive bladder cancer.

Zolbetuximab data expand evidence for CLDN18.2-guided gastric cancer treatment

Research on VYLOY (zolbetuximab) examines CLDN18.2 biomarker assessment, patient identification methods and real-world usage patterns, building the evidence base for CLDN18.2-guided treatment decisions in gastric and gastroesophageal junction cancers.

Pipeline presentations detail three early- and late-stage trials targeting hard-to-treat tumors

Astellas will outline trial-in-progress data across three investigational programs: a Phase 3 trial of setidegrasib in KRAS G12D-mutated pancreatic and non-small cell lung cancers, a Phase 1 trial of ASP5834 in KRAS-mutated or amplified solid tumors, and a Phase 1b/2 trial of ASP546C in CLDN18.2-expressing solid tumors.

The abstracts span prostate, urothelial, gastric/GEJ, lung and pancreatic cancers. Moitreyee Chatterjee-Kishore, Executive Vice President and Head of Oncology Development at Astellas, said the data reflect how disease biology understanding is advancing care through PADCEV plus pembrolizumab, VYLOY and XTANDI (enzalutamide).

PADCEV is developed through a clinical collaboration between Astellas, Pfizer (which acquired Seagen on December 14, 2023) and MSD, evaluating the combination with MSD's KEYTRUDA (pembrolizumab). XTANDI is commercialized in the U.S. jointly with Pfizer under a 2009 agreement, with Astellas handling manufacturing, global regulatory filings and ex-U.S. commercialization while Pfizer receives alliance revenue and royalties.
