Shanghai – October 30, 2026 -- aphranel®, the regenerative aesthetics brand of MOYOM Biotech, has brought European physicians to China for a week-long clinical exchange, following NMPA Class III approval for its MagiCCrystal CaHA filler in China in 2025 and EU MDR certification in 2026.
Delegation visits seven clinics across four Chinese cities
Dr. Tiago Guimarães and the aphranel® European Medical and Sales Team toured facilities with aphranel®-certified Chinese physicians. Stops included Yestar Medical Aesthetic Hospital and Huamei Zixin Medical Aesthetic Hospital in Guangzhou, and Shenzhen Fanyan Aesthetics and Shenzhen Boai Shuguang Hospital in Shenzhen. The group also visited REAL Medical Aesthetics in Shanghai, and Estee Ryan and JollyHue in Hangzhou.
The programme runs under the banner "Learning in China, Applying in Europe" and forms part of The Norns' Weave, a global academic initiative for physicians.
Physicians compare CaHA placement at different anatomical depths
Sessions combined facial aesthetic assessments, clinical case discussions and injection demonstrations. Participants examined placement onto the periosteum for deep structural support and injection into more superficial layers to improve soft-tissue quality. Discussions also covered differences in ethnic background, facial anatomy and aesthetic preferences across regions.
The product uses proprietary CaHA microsphere technology, which combines immediate structural support with collagen biostimulation and complete biodegradation. aphranel® cites more than 12 years of research and development behind it.
Chinese rollout reaches 620 clinics and 200,000 syringes in about one year
aphranel® reports more than 620 partner aesthetic clinics, over 700 certified physicians and more than 200,000 syringes used in China within approximately one year of launch. It runs a Train-the-Trainer (TTT) education framework alongside international academic partnerships.
Middle East exchange runs through Riyadh conference and Shanghai visit
At the Saudi Arabian Aesthetic Medicine Scientific Conference (SAAM) in Riyadh, Chinese aesthetic physicians presented facial assessment and injection approaches to Middle Eastern counterparts. Medical professionals from the region later visited MOYOM Biotech's Shanghai headquarters.
MOYOM Biotech plans to extend The Norns' Weave through further European academic exchanges, Expert-to-Expert (E2E) collaborations and continued development of clinical evidence.
