Pleasanton, Calif. – October 07, 2026 -- More than 175 emerging biotechs have adopted Veeva Basics, a suite of pre-configured, pre-validated applications spanning clinical, regulatory, quality, medical, and commercial functions, Veeva Systems (NYSE: VEEV) announced.
Biotechs deploy Veeva Basics applications in weeks instead of months
The pre-configured systems allow high-growth companies to move from startup to commercialization without building internal IT infrastructure or managing complex customizations. Whitehawk Therapeutics, a company with under 40 employees developing antibody-drug conjugates for difficult-to-treat cancers, used the platform to replace paper-based processes. "Veeva Basics redefined how we operate, significantly improving processes across regulatory and quality for greater speed and compliance," said Bryan Ball, chief technology operations officer at Whitehawk Therapeutics.
Structure Therapeutics insources FDA submission publishing via Veeva Basics
Veeva Submissions Publishing Basics is enabling regulatory teams to shift from outsourced to insourced publishing strategies, giving companies direct control over health authority interactions and submission building. Structure Therapeutics used the tool to bring its submission publishing in-house ahead of its first FDA filings. "Insourcing our submission publishing through Veeva Basics gave us sharper quality control and significantly faster regulatory timelines," said Darryl Clarke, global head of regulatory operations at Structure Therapeutics.
Applications run on Vault Platform to support scaling from biotech to commercial stage
Veeva Basics is built on the Vault Platform, allowing customers to expand their technology infrastructure as operations grow from clinical-stage development through commercialization. "Biotechs are responsible for so much of the innovation shaping the industry and they need technology that reflects the pace that they operate in," said Jim Thai, vice president of Veeva Basics.
Veeva will showcase the platform at its R&D and Quality Summit, scheduled for Oct. 20-21 in Boston, an event restricted to life sciences industry professionals.
